Welcome to Aastha Jadabpur

Aastha Jadabpur is a non-profit and non-government organization working to uplift the urban, semi-urban and rural impoverished community through developmental activities. Long ago in late nineties (1999) a group of energetic men and women started this organization with a dream, but due to certain reasons things were not running smoothly. At one time the organization stopped all the activities, but dream was not end. Thanks to the Governing body for giving me the responsibility of running the same.

In this new phase we have already running three urban shelters for homeless people and after seeing our credibility recently Rajpur Sonarpur Municipality entrust our organization to run another center in their locality. Previously we worked for and with the men, women and children in and around the Dhapa dumping ground. The Dhapa fumes are back as the city approaches another winter, exposing thousands of Kolkatans in the rapidly growing area of the busy EM Bypass to one of the worst types of air pollution, capable of causing severe health problems, especially in the middle of the pandemic. Community has no other options to stay beside and their children have no other opportunities but getting involved in child labor, smuggling and addiction. AASTHA JADABPUR with its own endeavor is working for the betterment and approaching individuals, corporate and other resource agencies to provide support.

We mainly work for and with the children, adolescents, youths, mother and elderly to bring innovative, aesthetic, spiritual and artistic development. Commitment and dedication are the keys to any productive and sustainable development.
